The new dogs keep arriving!!! Click on the ADOPTABLE DOGS button above to see them. We have been taking in 20 – 30 dogs bi-weekly for the last few months. This is WONDERFUL! Thank you for checking out our site.
As another year has gone by, we would like thank all of the people who have made our rescue a huge success. The countless hours that our volunteers have put in may be behind the scenes, but this rescue wouldn’t be here with out them. We would like the thank all of the adopters who chose to adopt instead of shop, the best dogs in life are rescued! We at PA Caring for K-9′s would like to wish all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Foster Dog Spot Light
Sharona is a very happy, fun loving dog who loves to please. She gets so excited and almost proud when she recieves a treat, a pet on the head or any kind of attention for doing a good job! Sharona LOVES to go for car rides! If she sees you going for her leash she gets very excited. She does still pull while walking but does really well with a harness when on walks. She loves to play with her resident dogs! Sharona would probably do best in a home where she has another doggie friend. Sharona requires much exercise like most dogs, but really seems to be very happy and content after a good run or play session with her resident foster doggie. Sharona had a rough start, coming from poor living conditions and thrown in a shelter down south with her litter of pups (who were also rescued and adopted to wonderful homes). Despite the rough start to life, she has come a long way! She knows all basic commands, is housebroken and crate trained. Her crate is her safe place. She sleeps there at night and stays comfortably in there while her foster mommy works. Sometime she even likes to lay in there when her people are home with the door open. Sharona loves to chew on deer antlers, they are her favorite! She loves to play chase and carry on with the resident children. Sharona really is a wonderful dog who deserves a wonderful family of her own. Sharona is lab mix dog weighing about 60 pounds, two years old, up to date on all vaccines and spayed. She is being fostered in Hanover, PA.
